GENERAL INFORMATION:
This year’s match will be hosted by the Oklahoma City Gun Club and Range. 12 stages of IPSC style Practical Shotgun shooting. Scoring will be Comstock and Virginia count.General rules regarding conduct ,safety and fair play will follow IPSC Shotgun 2009. We will be recognizing 3 Divisions: Open, Standard and Standard Manual. We will need at least 5 entries to recognize a division.

Plaques will be awarded for HOA in each division, with a prize table by order of finish.

Match is limited to 120 shooters, Applications are available on the Forms page of this website.

We are working on having food available at the range. Leaving the range for lunch will keep you from finishing your assigned stages.

Stages will range from fast and furious to precise and technical.

DIVISION REQUIREMENTS:
OPEN
  • Capacity restrictions: NONE
  • Optics, speed loaders, compensators, and porting are allowed.
STANDARD
  • Capacity restricted to 9 rounds in the gun at the start.
  • After the start there will be no restrictions on number of rounds loaded.
  • Porting, speed loaders, optics, and compensators are NOT allowed.
  • Box fed magazine shotguns that meet these requirements will be placed in this division.
STANDARD MANUAL
  • Requirements same as above, and shotgun must be manually operated ONLY.
AMMO REQUIREMENTS:
  • 12ga. buckshot MUST have no more than 9 pellets and be 00 buck or 000 buck
  • 20ga, buckshot MUST have no more than 20 pellets and be #3 buck.
(These are common loads available from ammo manufacturers)
MINIMUM AMMO REQUIREMENTS:
  • Slug-16
  • Buck-16
  • Shot-115
(we suggest you bring twice these amounts)
Be prepared to engage small targets with slugs out to 25yds. Steel knockdown targets with slugs out to 100yds, and know your buckshot pattern out to 40yds. You will have steel knockdown plates with no shoots close by to test your accuracy, and nerve. Also wide open targets to push your speed to the limit. All aspects of practical shotgunning will be tested, reloading, accuracy, speed, and gun handling.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
We have had a local FFL volunteer to handle transfers for any items free of charge, So competitors will not be charged a transfer fee.
